Description
Mid Twentieth Century clear cut crystal choker, circa 1940s. These crystal bezel set necklaces were popular from the late Victorian period through mid-century. The glass is cut like a gemstone but has no foil backing and they wear extremely well without darkening or hazing of the stones. Traditionally worn at formal affairs or as bridal jewelry but they can class up any outfit. This one includes round open back stones attached to closed back baguette stones.
Measurements: 15 1/2 inches long, round crystals are 10 mm, 7 mm and 4 mm, baguettes are 3 x 7 mm. Weight is 9.4 grams.
Condition: Excellent condition with very small amount of wear/patina apparent. All stones are clear white with no discoloration. The colors in the photos are from reflected light. Clasp works well.
