Description
A beautiful circa 1890s 14K cocktail, engagement or anniversary ring. A central rose cut red doublet stone is offset by 23 diamonds in a rose gold navette setting. The diamonds are rose cuts, and one single cut on one end which is a replacement. The diamonds vary in size, color and clarity and have beautiful shimmer and sparkle especially in low light when they twinkle like stars. No marks, tests as 14K. This ring is so elegant and has beautiful sparkle especially in low light! It would make a great engagement, anniversary or pinky ring.
This ring can be resized up to two sizes larger, please convo me for an estimate.
Measurements: Ring face is 7 X 17 MM and rises 4 mm off the finger. Weight is 1.9 grams. Diamonds are 1, 2 and 3 points each, total weight is approximately .30 ct. Doublet is 3 mm. Shank is approximately .9 mm deep and 1 mm high at thinnest point. Ring size 4.
Condition: Very good condition with surface wear to the doublet seen with magnification, surface scratches and slight thinning of the band, and it is slightly out of round. Evidence of an older sizing can be seen at the base of the shank. The shank is strong for now but will need attention at some point, when will depend on how often it’s worn.
Condition scale:
Excellent: light wear such a surface scratches, patina from age, very slight smoothing of detail
Very Good: moderate wear such as scratches, fleabites or nicks to stones when inspected closely
Good: obvious wear such as dents, heavy detail wear and minor damage – wearable without repairs
Fair: heavy wear and/or damage that needs to be repaired for the piece to be worn
