Description
Beautiful circa 1940s Art Deco quartz rock crystal necklace and matching bracelet. The clear faceted beads are quartz, the red spacer beads are probably glass imitating coral, however there are irregularities in them and they could be genuine coral. The original cotton string had stretched so both the bracelet and necklace were just restrung. The clasps are unmarked but are likely sterling silver on a set of this quality.
The stones are quite radiant and refract light beautifully. These sets were quite popular through the 1950s and were often worn by brides. This set is in its original box which is included.
Measurements: The necklace is 16 1/4 inches long including the clasp with crystals ranging from 15 mm to 7 mm, the bracelet is 8 inches including the clasp with graduating beads from 12 mm to 6 mm, the dangles hang 1 1/2 inches off the bracelet.
Shipping: The set with the box weighs nearly 2 lbs and will be sent by Priority Mail. This is free in the US and $20 to other countries. I will ship to most, but not all, other countries, for shipping out of the US please send an inquiry.
Condition: Excellent condition, both have just been restrung. The necklace weighs a little over 58 grams, the bracelet is around 28 grams.
