Description
Lovely circa 1930s earrings with large prong set very sparkly glass or French paste imitation diamond gems. The setting is stamped Silver Mexico, a mark used from the 1920s to mid-1940s for pieces of 925 or higher purity. The octagonal cut stones have beautiful sparkle in the light – and could be mistaken for rock crystal. They are set in four prongs with incised detail on the sides of the setting. They are non-pierced screw backs. Please view photos and read entire description and policies before purchasing!
Measurements: The cut glass stones are 1/2 inch x 7/16 inch. Weight of pair is 5.9 grams.
Condition: Excellent condition with moderate patina on the silver. Paste stones have no visible wear.
Condition scale:
Excellent: light wear such as surface scratches, patina from age, very slight smoothing of detail
Very Good: moderate wear such as scratches, fleabites or nicks to stones when inspected closely
Good: obvious wear such as dents, heavy detail wear and minor damage – wearable without repairs
Fair: heavy wear and/or damage that needs to be repaired for the piece to be worn
Note: All defects are noted to the best of my ability and are reflected in pricing. Measurements and weight are approximate.
