Description
Pretty Uncas sterling sliver antique engagement ring with a 5 mm foiled paste glass gem surrounded by 3 tiers of small rhinestone pastes in a stepped design. Beautiful filigree detail on the under gallery. Many of the smaller stones have darkening but retain some antique shine. Stamped Sterling and U with an arrow for maker Uncas. 1920s to 30s art deco paste engagement ring with great style.
Measurements: Ring is size 5 1/4. Paste is 5 mm side stones are around 1 mm each. Rises 6 mm above the finger. Weight is 3.3 grams.
Condition: Good condition with slight wear to detail and tarnish. Some rhinestones have darkened not as noticeable when worn as in the photos. Surface scratches and a couple of side chips on the center paste and it is set at an angle seen on close inspection.
Condition scale:
Excellent: light wear such as surface scratches, patina from age, very slight smoothing of detail
Very Good: moderate wear such as scratches, fleabites or nicks to stones when inspected closely
Good: obvious wear such as dents, heavy detail wear and minor damage – wearable without repairs
Fair: heavy wear and/or damage that needs to be repaired for the piece to be worn
