Description
This beautiful 10k yellow gold opal ring dates from the Art Deco period, circa 1930s. Set with a beautiful marquise Australian white opal stone, with high shine and loads of fire that includes orange/pink, yellow, green and blue. Beautiful lace filigree detail. Marked 10K and G inside a circle. Please view photos and read entire description and policies before purchasing!
The opal has been polished to a high gloss, opal is a soft stone and will scratch easily so may be best as an occasionally worn ring.
Condition: Excellent condition with very light wear/surface scratches to the stone and the gold. Slight even smoothing of detail. Opal is probably a replacement and is slightly shorter than the setting in length. This is not easily noticed when the ring is worn. Band is thin by design. It is strong at present, but with wear it may need to be re-shanked in the future.
Measurements: The stone is 6.3 x 13.5 mm and about 3 mm high. Rises 6.5 mm off the finger. Weight is 1.7 grams. Shank is .5 mm deep x 1.3 mm high. Ring size is 6 1/4.
My jeweler can resize this ring for an additional fee, please convo me to get a quote.
