Description
Lovely early 1900s necklace comprised of faceted warm orange glass beads connected with detailed brass elements and ending in a scalloped triangular drop with faceted back. Beads appear to be poured glass. Handmade hook closure. There are no marks.
Measurements: 21 inches long including the clasp, drop is 1 1/2 inch additional. Scalloped glass piece is 22 x 30 mm, beads are 4mm, 5.5 mm and 7 mm. Weight is 16 grams.
Condition: Excellent condition with slight wear/patina apparent on the metal, light surface scratches and some irregularities in the faceted beads visible with magnification.
Condition scale:
Excellent: light wear such a surface scratches, patina from age, very slight smoothing of detail
Very Good: moderate wear such as scratches, fleabites or nicks to stones when inspected closely
Good: obvious wear such as dents, heavy detail wear and minor damage – wearable without repairs
Fair: heavy wear and/or damage that needs to be repaired for the piece to be worn
