Description
Late 19th century Aesthetic period oval brooch with a gold filled intricate repousse top. Striking piece with a blend of geometric and stylized leaf detail. White enamel in the central triangles gives a two tone appearance. No marks.
Unusual and beautiful brooch would make a great gift or addition to the collection.

Measurements: 1 x 7/8 inches. Weighs 2.7 grams.
Condition: Very good condition with light surface scratches, enamel wear and slight patina in recessed areas and on back. A couple of shallow dents to the edge of the repousse top seen on close inspection. C clasp has been replaced with a safety clasp that works well.
Condition scale:
Excellent: light wear such a surface scratches, patina from age, very slight smoothing of detail
Very Good: moderate wear such as scratches, fleabites or nicks to stones when inspected closely
Good: obvious wear such as dents, heavy detail wear and minor damage – wearable without repairs
Fair: heavy wear and/or damage that needs to be repaired for the piece to be worn
